Anza Money: Lists

This is a collection of entities used as lists of choices in different parts of Anza Money. Editable lists give user flexibility and a great level of customization. Two lists, Projects and Payees, are especially useful, because they help to designate transactions for producing powerful reports.

Budgets

See the Budgets section.

Templates

See the Templates section.

Projects

Project is used as an optional attribute for the Transaction Entity. There are no projects defined by default. Projects can be used to group transactions for convenient tracing of expenses pertaining to, well, - a Project. To setup a new project, click the plus icon on the left bottom of the Projects list:

  • Parent Project: projects can also be organized in hierarchies similarly to other hierarchical structures in Anza Money (optional).
  • Name: name of the project that can be used when transaction entity attributes need to be defined (so that the transaction is accounted under that project for reporting).

Payees

Payees are very similar to projects, but they have their own list, because it is easy to think about both dimensions: reports can be compiled for a project and for different payees independently. To setup a new Payee, click the plus icon on the left bottom of the Payees list:

  • Parent: payees can also be organized in hierarchies similarly to other hierarchical structures in Anza Money (optional).

  • Name: name of the payee that can be used when transaction entity attributes need to be defined (so that the transaction is accounted for the payee for reporting).

  • Contact: convenience option that allows one to select a contact from the Android contact list (this is an optional attribute).

Currencies & Rates

There are several predefined currencies (American Dollar, British Pound, Euro, Yen, and Russian Ruble) provided by Anza Money, but it is possible to define your own currency. The currency definition screen shows the following attributes:

  • Name (of the currency).
  • Abbreviated Symbol: currency symbol according to ISO 4217 (recommended).
  • Rate: exchange rate relative to USD.

Payment Methods

There are several predefined payment methods (Debit Card, Check, Direct Credit, Wire Transfer, and Cash Withdrawal) provided by Anza Money. It is possible to extend the list and define your own payment methods.
